My Writing Process

Well, I don't want to give any spoilers because this is the topic of my virtual presentation at the library this month... so I will start broadly.
A story idea can come from anywhere. Usually I start with very little. Maybe a book cover for another novel will send my cogs spinning: "I think this will happen." "I wonder if the character will do this." "I hope it's not just like this other book."
Some of my ideas are just a couple words on a notepad. Often I send myself texts throughout the day if I have an "epiphany" about one of my characters.
The bottom line is it doesn't matter where your story comes from; what matters is putting pencil to paper and writing them!
