While at my favourite bookstore yesterday (see a photo below of me at "The Owl Pen"), I was asked what the word "coincident" means. As the title of my book, the general consensus is that I spelled "coincidence" wrong. "Coincident" is in fact an adjective, related to the noun "coincidence."
Google defines it as such: occurring together in space or time, in agreement or harmony. The title refers to the trait held by events that line up, or in the case of my story, how Vanessa travels with the light. If two events create a coincidence, then the events are coincident to each other.
Check out my book for an expansion on the topic!
